I'm Keith Betts. I've been building, remodeling, and repairing pools across Central and East Texas — and occasionally farther south. My crew has more than twenty years in the business. Rivers Edge Pools is my company, based in Kemp, and a lot of our work is done right around Cedar Creek Lake. We build a wide range of outdoor living for your family: freeform lagoons with boulder waterfalls, sharp modern geometrics, raised spas faced in stacked stone or marble, outdoor kitchens, fire features, courts, and the concrete that makes the yard around the water the place you actually live. Every one of them starts as bare dirt, a set of stakes, and a plan we walk together.

Pool Problems, Answered
Why does my pool keep turning green?
Green water is algae taking hold — usually from low chlorine, an off pH, or a struggling filter in the Texas heat. Staying ahead of chemistry with weekly service prevents it; if it's already green, our one-time green-to-clean gets it swimmable again.
How much does a custom in-ground pool cost?
It depends on size, shape and features — waterfalls, spas, decking and outdoor living all move the number. We give you a clear, itemized quote after a free consult, and financing is available to spread it out.
My water is cloudy even though chlorine is fine — what's wrong?
Cloudy-but-chlorinated water is usually filtration or balance: a dirty filter, high pH/alkalinity, or poor circulation. We'll check the filter, chemistry and flow and pinpoint it fast.
How long should I run my pool pump each day?
As a rule of thumb, run it about 8–12 hours a day in summer to turn the water over fully. A variable-speed pump does this far more cheaply — often paying for itself in power savings.

How long until a new pool is ready to swim?
Most custom gunite builds run about 8–14 weeks from dig to first swim, depending on features, weather and inspections. We give you a realistic schedule up front.
